Property Manager – Metro Detroit, MI

Legacy is seeking experienced Property Managers to manage day to day operations at our properties in or around the surrounding metropolitan Detroit areas. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and organized and provide quality, professional service to residents including preparing paperwork for move-in, move-outs, re-certifications, resident billing, maintaining accurate file system, month end closing procedures, and processing work orders in a timely manner. In addition, the Property Manager will be responsible for directly managing on-site staff, as well as maintaining a professional relationship with the owners and vendors, and upholding all applicable outside agency standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of property management experience required

  • Experience managing a team

  • HUD Section 8 knowledge, tax credit, Fair Housing, and budget finance experience required

  • Management of receivables, payables, and budgeting for the communities

  • Real Estate License required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

  • Exceptional customer service with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively

  • Must be able to work extended and varied hours

  • Experience working in Yardi or similar software
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Travel required, must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation
